We Have Moved!!

Get Set Event Hire Taupo has moved into a new store, now located in the Taupo Town center at 12 Titiraupenga Street.
We were formally part of Taupo Hire and were located in the Taupo Hire Building (the big yellow building on Miro Street), but separated into two separate business's 18 months ago. Taupo Hire has Machinery & Portaloo Hire, and Get Set Event Hire are Events, Weddings, Marquees, Balloons & all things Party!  We needed to make some changes to our business after being hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, like many business in the country, within a week of going into lock-down every booking we had was cancelled...scary times for a small business! 
It was time to do something new, we needed brand awareness, street appeal, our own identity and a new way to show off all the gorgeous party gear we have to hire. This wonderful shop (formally the Stihl shop) in an ideal location became available and it was like it was meant to be! Our new shop is so impressive and our experienced, friendly team are all super excited to show it off and help all our customers plan the perfect party, event or wedding. 
Our retail showroom has a huge range of balloons and party items to choose from AND We have a stunning wedding showroom upstairs, the perfect place to dream, visualise and plan your special day.  So if you haven't already been in for a browse, come and see us soon, you will be amazed!

Tracey Thompson – Event Manager/Co-ordinator

Tracey has spent 23 years living  in Taupo raising her family while working in the Event Hire industry for 18 of those years. Taupo being the Event Capital of New Zealand has seen Tracey assist and work with event teams to deliver many memorable occasions for both locals and visitors to our town. With her passion and inspirational ideas, Tracey has co-ordinated and implemented many Corporate Events, Weddings, 21 st , or Celebrations where her customers were able to enjoy a stress free and the most unforgettable experience.

Tracey has a kiwi ‘can do attitude’ nothing is too much for Tracey and her team at Get Set Event Hire. She will source what you need if we don’t have it in stock, or she will put the creative team on the job to create and make the clients idea. Tracey’s customer’s ideas and vision are important and she will work with all her customer’s to make their ideas and dreams come to life.
